What is international courier?

International courier is express door-to-door delivery for small parcels, documents and samples that need to arrive quickly anywhere in the world. Unlike standard air freight, courier offers pickup at the sender's address, fast customs clearance and direct delivery to the recipient's address.

It's the preferred option when the shipment size doesn't justify full air freight but speed and tracking are essential.

What is courier used for?

• Commercial samples: Send a product sample to a potential client overseas before closing an order.
• Legal documents and contracts: Notarized documents, signed contracts, titles, passports and visas.
• Urgent spare parts: A small part that's holding up an entire production line.
• E-commerce parcels: Items purchased online for CR delivery, or products sold abroad.
• Corporate gifts: Small shipments to clients or partners abroad.
• Lab samples: Specimens for technical or quality analysis.

• USA and Canada: 1–3 business days (Miami, New York, Los Angeles)
• Europe: 3–5 business days (Madrid, London, Frankfurt, Rome)
• Asia: 4–7 business days (Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore)
• Central America and Caribbean: 1–3 business days
• South America: 2–4 business days (Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires)

How does the process work?

• 1. Pickup: We collect the parcel at your address in Costa Rica (Heredia, San José, Alajuela and more).
• 2. Documentation: We prepare the airway bill, value declaration and destination-country customs forms.
• 3. Dispatch: The parcel is processed at the airport and leaves on the first available flight to the destination.
• 4. International transit: Tracked by waybill number at every stage.
• 5. Customs at destination: The courier operator handles local customs clearance.
• 6. Home delivery: The recipient receives the parcel at their address with signed proof of delivery.

Restrictions and important considerations

• The following cannot be shipped via courier: cash, lottery tickets, perishable items without special packaging, weapons or controlled substances.
• Lithium batteries have specific restrictions — ask us first.
• For samples with no commercial value, it's important to declare this correctly to avoid import charges at destination.
• Declared value affects destination-country import taxes — always declare the actual value.
